Production and Supply
The stages of hydraulic hose manufacture and the supply route our products follow before reaching our warehouse in İvedik OSB.
Wire Drawing and Annealing
High-carbon steel wire is drawn through progressive dies down to the diameter required for braiding. It is then stress-relieved in annealing furnaces, which prevents the wire from breaking during braiding.
The tensile strength of the wire is one of the main factors determining the burst pressure of the hose.
Braiding and Spiral Winding
Once the inner liner has been extruded, steel wire is applied over it. Braiding machines weave the wire in a crossing pattern; spiral machines wind it in parallel layers.
1SN uses a single braid layer, 2SN a double braid, and 4SP and 4SH four spiral layers. The winding angle matters: a hose not wound at the correct angle changes dimension under pressure.
Cover Extrusion and Vulcanisation
A synthetic rubber outer cover is extruded over the reinforcement layer. The hose is then cured under pressure and heat, at which point the layers become a single body.
The standard, diameter and pressure information is printed on this surface; in the field, this is how the hose is identified.
CNC Machining of Fittings and Ferrules
Fittings and ferrules are machined from bar stock on automatic lathes. Thread cutting, seat grinding and the machining of nipple serrations are all completed on the same machine.
Zinc plating is then applied: it provides both corrosion resistance and the surface friction wanted during crimping.
